  1. I’m ok with the other two (although not my favorites), but Leffe … that’s not a beer. It’s a chemical experiment trying to mimic Trappist beer and other real Abbey beer. Not even trying to mimic. Just trying to steal the spotlight. Hence the worldwide marketing by InBev. A beer in the category Leffe pretends to be should be pure and honest, brewed with few ingredients and lots of attention and time. Go find the real stuff, try a Westmale Trippel, an Orval, a Rochefort 10 (all Trappist beers), a St. Bernardus Abt 12 (Abbey beer). And if you really want an InBev brew, go for a Hoegaarden instead of a Stella. Another tip: work on your poring technique: tipped glass to start with, slow poor. Foam should never be more than 25% of the liquid.

  2. That used to be the case. InBev bought many of them, forced them to use their formula or made them close the doors for not distributing and promoting them as they do with their ‘signature’ beers.
