  2.  @rockys7726 it is only cheaper in countries where the railroads aren’t privatised. Where privatised (for example in Great Britain) it’s about 5x more expensive.

  3. These industrial revolutions turn out to be quite devastating for society and the environment. And this one promises no better. As long as there’s someone who thinks he can profit from it, it will happen. Whatever the consequences for … whatever. And even more devastating: the fear to loose any of the profit margins. Time to ditch fossil fuels? Nah, let’s just instigate war with Russia and stir things up in the middle-East. And we’ll see … maybe China, if necessary. We’ll keep it on a smear campaign and a bit of a boycott for now.

  6. The real tragedy is western capitalism can’t take the next step, the first real one in the green transition. They got used to building their fortune at an immense pace and are not willing to go trough the necessary phase of big investments to set things in place for that transition. They just want the profits. It really is French Revolution time again. There really is NO TIME TO WASTE.

  10. Don’t focus on the foreign shareholders. The US made these practices legal an US equity funds stand for the mayority of private investors worldwide, and you US based funds distract far more wealth from the rest of the world than vice versa. You caused it, US. You rigged the system and you are not going to solve it. Ever. Because you all think there’s no alternative for capitalism, and you don’t realise in capitalism many have to loose for a few to win.
