  3. More EV and legacy companies should go retro. And affordable. Who wouldn’t want an electric old model mini, beetle, 500, alpine, E-type, type 2, 356, amazon, 900, …? But most important: affordable!

  4. I think they were doing this already for years. And not only western car companies. It was business as usual in many industries: cheap Chinese components, assembly in their local factories and then labeling ‘made in ‘ … not China. Because Chinese manufactured products aren’t good enough?

  5. You’re drifting from informing to producing content. Hydrogen is Big Oil’s quite successful attempt to slow down the very much needed transition to a sustainable future. Because they can’t find a way to keep their profit margins high enough. And the sad truth is: they can’t find a profit without keeping on polluting. This clip is propaganda for Big Oil. Please remove it.

  7. I think here in Belgium to overly big majority of those 50.000 € and more European cars, are sold to companies as extra legal benefit for their higher ranked employees. Meanwhile, those same car brands agressively promote their hybrid cars: ‘a hybrid for the price of a petrol car.’ Even one saying their hybrid is cheaper to run than an electric. Should be illegal! Hybrids, bio fuels, hydrogen , … all holy grailed by big oil an big automobile to keep their production high and their profits even higher. But China is to blame. I’ve learned by now: when they point in one direction, look the oposit way and whose finger it is.

  8. Fossil pushes nuclear because it’s a smokescreen for wind, solar and hydro. The longer it takes to make the transition, the better for fossil. And nuclear will take time. It’s modern, western economy at it’s finest.

  9. Remember what they were: apart from a little order from Hitler, the Beetle was their chicken with golden eggs: an affordable car for the people. The e-Up (Citygo, Mii) could have been their new Beetle. But they cancelled it.
