@richardpetek712 you can't just assert that the previous government was corrupt and imply that the current government is free of corruption. The fact is that Ukraine has been in a power struggle between pro-russian and pro-west factions for decades. Yushenko, a communist, was legitimately elected and inherited an extremely corrupt government. But he was pro-russian and asserted that a NATO alliance would be bad for Ukrainian people. The United States could not abide the Ukrainian people selecting a communist leader that didn't suck up to us. There is quite credible evidence that the United States was instrumental in effecting the coup and subsequent chaos in 2014. The current administration is pro-west. Using war as a lever to secure power is hardly without corruption. This is the tactic being used by the west, particularly the United States in this conflict. In my opinion, with Russia and the United States are in fact using the Ukraine as a pawn in their imperialistic plans. This has ended badly every time the US has employed this tactic. Iraq comes to mind.
