I know a few teachers that have changed careers because they are paid less than cops and are afraid they might accidentally say "gay" under their hysterical governments. We have plenty of money to educate. But the destruction of public education is intentional in an authoritarian system. Poor, uneducated people are easier to control with lies and fear of each other.
