Re the caption for the opening video.: there's no "globalist socialism." Globalism is a wholly capitalist project. A handful of mega rich plutocrats running the world ain't socialism, folks. 🤪

@befeleme why? It's not really "free market" (though neither is ours) in the classical sense. Socialism ultimately means that profit inures to the benefit of the people. It doesn't mean there is no trade or individual decision making about purchases of goods and services. You can get rich in China but you can't buy the government as you can in the u.s. Capitalism is incapable of solving the problem of negative externalities, driving long term national policies, or managing and equitably distributing national resources. Chinese policy is addressing these issues quite effectively.
