same I prefer the modesty in fashion Japan upholds, in the West people will walk around in skin tight clothing (even if they are overweight) or just generally dress like a slob

@veevolt492 people who are confident don't need to put their body on display to fish for the lustful eye of men. Japanese women look far prettier in their dresses and flowing blouses then a girl wearing mini shorts and a tank top

@al1999 Japan has over a hundred million people on an island smaller then most US states, they would benefit from a population reduction, means more room and higher wages. Of course the rich don't want this, anywhere

@nat3299 it's not the food itself, it's gluttony and lack of selfcare. People in the West used to put obese people in freak shows, now we just tolerate it as normal because we lost our shame culture

@cuggus3330 they literally called them freak shows not beauty pageants, they weren't looking at fat people as something to emulate Even in the past fat wealthy people were not the ideal, they just didn't care and saw themselves as above ridicule "The biggest causes of obesity stem from the attitude toward food and exercise in America," low IQ + easy access to calories + no shame culture

@al1999 the elite are trying to change this though via propaganda and introducing hate speech laws in Japan. Most Europeans don't see non-natives are part of their peoples either they are just less likely to say or act against the elite since you can be fired and put in jail. In Japan you are still allowed to not let foreigners in your businesses

@dethtour >population crisis they have over 125 million people living in a country smaller then most US states where the average person lives in an apartment not much bigger the average American living room Not to mention populations always rise and fall, the idea that they must always be maintained or increased is just a by product of hyper capitalism which is also contributing to the low birth rates (same as in the West)
