  2. Amelia Salisbury - As a former teacher, I hate giving you this advice but under current conditions, be practical - drop out of college! You will never be able to pay back debt. There is no good paying job waiting for you. Why are you volunteering to be an indentured servant for life? Get a cerificate as EMT, CNA or similar. When economy improves you can go back to university.

  3. rogb rogb - the GOP wants to privatize SSI - just like Obama tried to do! I'm a senior & I barely survive. Don't forget widows with children, handicapped, chronically ill who also depend on SSI. Remember Medicare A&B does have a mo pmt plus does not cover everything without supplemental insurance which few of us can afford.

  6. John Kesich - Great idea! Families, children & grandchildren of congress, cabinet & pres mandatory attendance! Then keep kids to have a sleep-over in cages.

  7. Sarah Cullen - Yes call off the army! No, too dangerous for just office staff. With crowds of this size, fights are inevitable - think road rage during holiday traffic. It is human nature. What is needed is national guard for security not offensive action plus bi-lingual process takers with every point of entry re-opened. Hopefully, Red Cross, etc will be on US side to provide water & food, blankets & rest areas. Also, Feds must supply buses to transport families to various states so border states are not over-whelmed by huge influx. Fed gov must provide funding to participating states to accommodate refugees. Hire veterans to manage migrants on trips & upon arrival at camps & facilities to ensure their safety & to keep children with mothers. No cages!
