@no-oneinparticular7264 Yep i can remember the queen mother lying in state. There were thousands queuing for miles to pay their respects with many elderly among them. 4 days for the queen apparently.

@grafixbyjorj Dictatorial powers? What the ones given in a democratic vote by the people. Dictatorial powers are what you see in putins russia. The monarchy brings in far more than the country pays for in its upkeep. As well as supporting/promoting charities. A way of rewarding good citizenship in its awards and various schemes. Providing soft diplomacy and promoting british business abroad.

Yep a lot of coinage/notes/stamps all over the commonwealth to be changed. All the military and historical emblems/uniforms with EIIR needing to be updated. God saving our gracious king and sending him victorious is gonna take some getting used too as well.
