  1.  @denismorgan9742  I would argue its only been going on since putin came to power in 1999. Russia recognising ukraine as a sovereign independant state before that, along with the rest of the world after its independance referendum of 1991. Putin and other soviet era imperialist hardliners never recognised that vote. Thats why the communist party in russia is fully behind putin and the kremlin despite them acting like fascists. Then again communism and fascism are 2 different extremes of the same imperialist evil i guess..
