I've lived in Boston, LA, SF Bay Area, and Kitsap County near Seattle (pre-Viaduct closure). I agree...all totally suck as far as traffic is concerned. One semester, I was living in N. Hollywood and working in Newport Beach. It rained one day, and it took me 6.5 hours to get to work. I was a student at CSU Long Beach. That semester in N. Hollywood I had to be up by 4:30 am to make it to my 8:00 am classes...we moved to Redondo Beach after that, which helped.
