  1. It's a despicable charge to make, being "anti-American". It's a label which has been used against every immigrant group to the US in the last 200 years. It was used heavily against Roman Catholics, even to the point where JFK in 1960 had to battle accusations of owing allegiance to a foreign power. Here is an excerpt from a speech which Sowell would no doubt label as "anti-American": "Our nation was born in genocide, when it embraced the doctrine that the original American, the Indian, was an inferior race. Even before there were large numbers of Negroes on our shore, the scar of racial hatred had already disfigured colonial society. From the sixteenth century forward, blood flowed in battles over racial supremacy. We are perhaps the only nation which tried as a matter of national policy to wipe out its indigenous population." That was written by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1963. Of course Sowell never liked King anyway.

Majorie Taylor Greene is famous for having stated that California wildfires were started by Jewish space lasers. Eric Cantor who was the first Jewish Republican Majority leader lost his seat when an anti-Semite ran a successful primary challenge to him.
