Considering 85% of Milan's population is European, I would say you have a very selective memory or just visited kebab restaurants.

Far left is mainstream? Do you even know what far left is?

Boost the economy and the fertility rate will follow.

@captainvanisher988 Large metropoles will always have a larger foreign population, the point is that this number alone proves the OP is lying. Furthermore he just picked two random cities because I'm sure he cannot even tell Moroccans from Pakistanis.

@scottwebb4722 Hard to find Italians in their own country? Only aprox 10% of the Turin residents are foreign and most of those are from other European countries. How about taking your xenophobia elaewhere?

@scottwebb4722 I have absolutely no problem finding Italians in Italy, what are you on?

@scottwebb4722 Yes I have but thanks for the socio-economic assumption.

@scottwebb4722 True, that's why you said you felt like you were in North Africa when visiting Turin. We have to make quite the effort to believe that.

@captainvanisher988 My comparison was more with small towns and rural places. Migrants will always tend to settle in big agglomerations because that's where most job opportunities are. The world has changed and never before was it so easy to move around and it doesn't reflect solely on migrations, travel for vacations as well. The only thing countries should make sure when it comes to migration is not to bite more than they can chew otherwise life will get worse for everyone involved, both locals and migrants.

@scottwebb4722 Last time I checked those were not Communist media outlets. But out of curiosity, what are your favourite unbiased media sources?

@keyboarddancers7751 I was referring more to the Italian situation. Oftentimes the decision not to have more children has to do with the costs associated with supporting them. It also seems to me that millennials and gen z's are less inclined to have more than 1 child but that would throw us more into a sociological duscussion.

@captainvanisher988 Yes but that's a bit problematic. What's the threshold for that assimilation and respect for the native culture? Where do you draw the line and how do you assess that? Other than speaking the language, which is already a requirement to obtain citizenship in most countries, I'm not seeing it. I don't agree with that deportation idea. You raise a family, start a business, contribute to the economy of the country and once your visa expires you are booted out of the country? Besides wouldn't that hurt birthrates even more?
