  2. For each German that thought that, 1000 thought the opposite. The wall was despised. In what cultural aspects do both sides differ? Germans were artificially separated for 40 years, they're the same people.

  5.  @hrs6480  According to the polls, only about 1/3rd of Bavarians like the idea of independence but the Bavarian Independence party gets a very low vote share everytime. I think most of that third like the idea more than they would actually like it to happen. Reminds of Texans in the US.
