It’s like being surprised that a Roman legion could beat a Stone Age tribe and setting that as your default expectation for how wars should go.

  5. Ukraine continues to hurl easily killed barely trained unsupported troops into a surrounded position with minimal supply that is sighted for artillery fire. Russia is content to rack up the bodies so long as Ukraine keeps sending them. Have you ever played an RTS like say StarCraft where you’ve got a forward position or Bass get the enemy keeps attacking you’re trying to save it by setting rally points there and building units as fast as possible to defend it but the best you can do is get them they’re piecemeal and they just barely manage to hold back each assault before dying themselves? That’s what this battle is for Ukraine. The position is doomed and will fall what needed to be done months ago was to get their troops the hell out of Dodge to a better defensive position and to reorganize an assault force with the new forces. Instead they wasted their men’s lives convoy advert convoy marching them in just to hold a position that is completely indefensible so they can claim they still have it. At least 100,000 Ukrainians have been killed in this battle( imagine what they could do with those men if Ukraine realized after about 30,000 dead in the first couple months when the Heights fell and the Russians surround them with artillery that they needed to get out and preserve their forces. Imagine 80,000 more Ukrainians in theater alive with their equipment instead of squandered to make the map look pretty.

Which is hilarious as all indications are Ukrainian losses in Bakhmut are so much worse; their strategy the past five months has been to continue to throw reinforcements into pre-sighted artillery kill zones. “It’s gotten so bad even the Nazis’ financiers have had to say for the love of God stop.” So long as the Wehrmacht continues to feed bodies the Russians will continue to chew them up. Every slain Nazi here is one fewer Nazi to fight later on. Z!

Battle has turned into one of those StarCraft games with you losing so you start desperately trying to crank out all the units you can and hold the reinforcements upfront to bolster a failing defense, but all you’re doing is barely surviving each engagement just enough to be in a weakened state for the next round of battles, so ultimately the enemy breaks through and beats you. Those trickles of Marines or Hydralisks up to the front would have been much better served forming a proper defensive line for their back and readying an assault force rather than wasting their lives piecemeal one by one. But it helps you feel more control of the situation to see the lines moving less. How do you properly made the choice earlier to abandon the line and build a secondary fortifications while preparing a new assault you wouldn’t have been critically out of combat power and lost. Ukraine loves to hold doomed position for some reason. Easily more than 200,000 Ukrainians have been killed, most of them in positions that were indefensible and needed to be abandoned.

  8. It’s primarily against a military contractor company the size of a single army corps and doesn’t block any of the Russian supply routes so it’s pure Nazi cope. And even more retarded Lee it’s a pure waste of military power to keep reinforcing. Ukraine has already put more than 1 million men under arms and lost about half of them in a year, IF you’re being charitable. The real reason is the man in charge of Ukraine has no fucking idea what he’s doing and thinks he’s fucking Belisarius or Caesar because his 60,000 strong garrisoned city wasn’t taken by a force of 20,000 that wasn’t even aiming at it.
