While I respect peoples right to protest, they should have the decency and courtesy to know when not to.

Exactly, the whole point of a protest is to be disruptive. Doesn't mean it's violent though.

@T5Zplayer I don't think so, I think the opposite. Whether the UK should be a republic is a fair matter for debate, but not for protest. The public who wanted to attend shouldn't have their special day tarnished this way. It smacks of narcissism, where these attention seekers sought to hijack the moment and make it about them and their cause. But it wasn't their day, and it wasn't about them. It's a difficult dilemma because nor do I think they should be prevented or rough-housed. They should just know better. Once upon a time, we did....

@timg1246 It is disruptive. It's designed to draw attention in an unsolicited and disruptive way. If it wasn't disruptive, it would merely be advertising and marketing.
