  1. In 1991 I was getting an MBA, and the professors told us about Stakeholder economics. I recognized it as the thin point of a wedge that would bring Marxism to our society. Instead of the business owners running a business in order to make a profit for themselves in an ethical fashion, we were supposed to consider the employees, the neighbors, the customers and the rest of the people as "having a stake" in the business. It was a form of ownership. But this "ownership" is illegitimate. It was a way to achieve government ownership of the means of production.
