  4. Indeed. Water moderated reactors are among the safest in the world because when the water is removed, the reactions STOP. It is literally a fail-safe, rather than a fail-criticality situation with graphite reactors.

  5.  @nonyabisness6306  Agreed. Which is why I say the IAEA classifying it as a seven was NOT based on hard science but rather politics. More people died as a result of the Windscale fire and the Lucens Reactor in Switzerland than did from Fukushima.

  13.  @Juho221  It shows that the Russians blatantly lie about who is responsible for shelling. In the Azov POW case, how come only the prisoners died and none of the guards got a scratch? Same applies to shelling at the nuclear plant.

  15.  @nonyabisness6306  Except, most of the radiation leaks at Fukushima was specifically FROM the waste storage pools, not the reactor cores themselves. The reason why the pools exist is because the waste WILL get hot much like corium and melt through the bottom of the containment when the water is removed.

  22.  @cdeford  WRONG. It is Russia who has turned Ukrainian cities into rubble and ruin, not the Ukrainians. Secondly, you have never heard of false flag operations, have you? It is a classic tactic to stage an attack on your own forces as justification and pretext for engaging in certain actions that would otherwise be verboten. Case in point is the murder of the Azov Steel Plant POWs.

However, the Russian General at the plant has unequivocally said that if they can't have it, they WILL go scorched Earth.
