  1.  @Spacemongerr  Indeed. Even today when looking at Korean place names, the Gs and Ks are often interchanged. For example, to differentiate Gongju with Gyeongju, the former has the soft sound while the latter has the hard sound. The Y after the K is the distinguishing factor. Another example which is really frustrating is Palace of GnosisKnosis. Too many people incorrectly use the hard K rather than the soft G. Gnosis should be pronounced similar to Gneisenau.
