They didn't know butter was $7. They are no better than Marie Antoinette.

Modern day Marie Antoinette

You have to forgive them, they didn't realize butter was $7. And if your BS alarm didn't go off from the saracsim, I think it needs to be adjusted.

That was his Marie Antoinette moment, and he was too stupid to realize it. Shows you how historically illiterate these people are.
7
@Yearlinphillips Governments printing money with nothing to back it up ala Zimbabwe and Weimar Germany is responsible for most of the inflation since 2019. THAT is easily "fact checked".

ALDI has DEI hiring practices.

@gen_z_hippichikk Where in the constitution is it the government's responsibility? BTW, most of those "price gougers" are multi-national corporations who support Democrats. Your local businesses can't afford to price gouge lest they lose their customer base. How about you pick up a book by Karl Menger, Friedrich Hayek, and Ludwig von Misses? They completely disprove every claim of Marx, Lenin, Mao, and the rest.

Don't forget that politicians through arbitrary zoning laws have made cheap affordable housing an artificial scarcity.

My grandparents were kids in the Great Depression and I find myself still using their life lessons. Such as taking leftovers home from the Restaurant and not letting ANY food go to waste.
3
@MadKitty10 Yeah, too bad Youtube/Google doesn't like me comparing MSNBC to her.
3
They are having their Marie Antoniette "let them eat cake" moment.
3
They didn't know butter was $7 and you expect them to suddenly recover from the Marie Antoniette mentality?
2
They want us to live in pods and eat the bugs. Developers WANT to build single family homes, but the politicians through obnoxious zoning laws prevent it. The Housing crisis is entirely artificial scarcity purposely created by corruption in government.
2
I wish he, Ben Carson, and Herman Cain were considered Black Icons alongside George Washington Carver, Madame C.J. Walker, Elijah McCoy, Garrett Augustus Morgan Sr. and Alfred L. Cralle. Barak Obama is not worthy to even hold their coat and act as valet to them.

Boy who cried wolf.

"Butter is $7" was their Marie Antoniette moment and they still haven't gotten out of that bubble.

He feels guilty because he didn't work with his hands to earn his wealth. He got it by gaming the system. He picks winners and losers while using debt and Usury to bilk people out of their hard-earned gains by claiming "liquidity" is a virtue and asset. It is nothing more than extracting without putting back anything of value. He is EVERYTHING the communists and socialists hate, yet they love him because he parrots their talking points.
1
The pardoning of the Turkey was funny when Reagan did it. Now it is just an overused joke that has long past its expiration date.
1
And Usury is warned against. Yet today's society is built on it, and not in a good way.
1
Buffett has never produced anything of value in his life. He just knows how to pick winners and losers while extracting value from the system and not putting anything of value back in. He is EVERYTHING the Communists hater, yet they fully embrace him because he parrots their talking points. And before the Buffett defenders balk, I point out that liquidity is only a virtue when you deal with Usury and financial slavery, and debt servitude. In a frugal, cash up front system, it is considered predatory and sinful.

Boy who cried wolf.

He could also stop gaming the system and bilking the taxpayers by "investing" in scams to launder government subsidies. The man is the very caricature that communist and socialist have on capitalists, but they LOVE him because he parrots their talking points.
1
MSNBC's Joe Scarborogh didn't believe butter was $3 and then got corrected that it was $7. That was their "let them eat cake" moment. Of course they haven't learned how expensive a Turkey diner really is.

Seems like google/youtube doesn't like me mentioning Marie Antoinette.
1
Part of the problem is that companies like Blackrock are buying up the homes as soon as they get on the market, purposely driving up the prices so as to create a feudalistic oligarchy not much different than in Russia or Ukraine today. Or Europe in the 1800s.
1
Local politicians through zoning laws have created artificial housing shortages driving up prices.
