even though russia is trying to hide it, there are other indicators russia is hurting from the sanctions, economy is shrinking and their national budget for next year even admits there is less money

There is no doubt Russia is hurting from the sanctions. russia has lost over 80% of its income and its economy is shrinking every month. the sanctions compound over time and most sanctions are still being added. russia is now in a deficit, where it is losing more money than it makes. At the rate it is going it will be bankrupt within a year. no wonder russia isnt paying most of its army now or only giving a small % of what it promised it would pay its soldiers. and no wonder they are deserting and surrendering in such large numbers.
