  14. I don't think the hand thing was meant as a handshake. Going by his facial expression it seemed more like he first locked eyes with someone specific in the audience, clearly said something that we couldn't hear, and then proceeded to motion for that person to either do something, like stand up, or like he expected something to go differently. Looked more like a "do you have anything you want to add or are we done here?" type of gesture to me.

  15. I thought they said that the police officer who got up on the roof lost his grip and fell down when the gunman pointed his rifle at him. While that's pretty silly in itself, if he hurt himself falling down it could probably explain why he wasn't able to get the message across in time before the shooter got his first rounds off only moments later.

So being left in the cockpit all alone and flying the plane literally makes the idiot who crashed it the one and only "pilot" at that time. Also, the main pilot on a plane this size is generally always referred to as the "captain" and not just a "pilot".

It's VERY obvious that he first establishes eye contact with someone off camera below the stage and also says something to them that we can't hear while extending his hand toward them in a typical questioning and/or permissive type of gesture, like "do you have anything to add or are we done here?" or some such. Whatever it is it's clearly not supposed to be a hand shake, like do you even body language?

But I've never taken it to physical violence like Will did. And no, I never run red lights or steal anything either, nor do I ever throw trash in nature or scream out my car window at other drivers before you ask, but little things like that I don't think are as big of a deal either and I'd be much quicker to forgive them in others too, but physically harming someone for just saying words you didn't like is in my opinion a whole different level of asshole and I'm very comfortable judging any and all people who do that because like I said, it's pretty fricken easy to avoid.

I think the main reason for that is that he's not JUST an actor on this particular film but also one of the producers, and there were rumours circulating in the media early on that he was one of the people very hands-on in charge of the supposedly poor overally conditions around the sets. Now I have no idea whether that's actually true or not but I think that's the main reason for why he's being targeted so much and not just that he was the one holding the gun.

But you're free to disagree of course. Anyway the part about it that is ridiculous and that people are making jokes about is not what the military calls the operation on some piece of paper, it's how extreme the Russian government is being about forbidding the use of the words "war" and "invasion" and threatening long prison sentences to anybody who calls it that. THAT is completely ridiculous and nothing a normal civilized western country would ever do. So there is still no comparison.
