@hertzair1186 Iowa is looked at as a hypocritical backward joke these days. They mostly vote far right wing Republican, but will never turn down huge crop subsidies, government transfer payments.

Missouri is a national joke, horrible state government, MAGAs everywhere. They're definitely taking away women's rights there along with book banning, and guaranteed to get far worse overall in the state as it will swing even further right.
3
There's that unfriendly Midwest mentality.
3
Wichita is a dump, high crime rates for its size, very rundown, and high poverty rates compared to other similar sized metro areas.
3
Warmer seasons are no advantage at all, southern Illinois and Indiana have awful climates with either insane amounts of precipitation during various times of the year, or a combination of horrible storms and severe weather during a good chunk of the spring and summer.
3
That's because Kansas is a backward dump with far right wing conservatives that hate any type of revenue that could be brought in from gambling, cannabis legalization, and DEAD LAST in tourism revenue.

That is younger than average. The average age of first marriage is 30 for men and 28 for women based on recent data. @BadgerCheese94
2
Kansas City metro area is a joke, overpriced, horrible weather most of the year, high taxes, delusional homer locals that hate most any type of change, high airline prices, and far from anywhere scenic for hours in any direction.
2
The only area of the Midwest where you can consistently do things outdoors in the winter with decent snow cover is the Northwoods or northern Great Lakes area.
2
Wichita is a dump, and it really isn't like the Midwest for the most part, more like the Bible Belt South with scorching summer heat.
2
@BadgerCheese94 Too young would be 24-25 or younger for the current era.
2
LOL people have to be complete IDIOTS to move to Kansas City, one of the most overrated metro areas there is, the whole area is a joke.
2
The social culture is stifling in the Midwest, people get married way too young, and generally a horrible place to live for single people in their 20's and 30's with the exception of a few cities.
2
No, not enough snow in most of the Midwest.
2
Kansas is a horrible state to live in, I should know as I lived there around 20 years.
2
As long as you stay in the further north reaches of the Midwest. Most areas to the south are too mild to have a consistent snow covered winter.
2
There's that unfriendly Midwest mentality.
2
No, the major problem with much of the Midwest is that the old money rules everything, and they keep any and all change and progress out as it will undercut their bottom line and increase competition in their tiny little bubble worlds. That's why most smart educated younger people leave as fast as possible and leave the region or move to a larger metro area nearby.
2
Missouri is more like the South than the Midwest these days, especially with all far right wing in charge of the politics.
2
Kansas is a joke.
2
Nebraska is a very high tax wasteland with bad weather and wind most of the year.
2
No, Kansas City is not booming at all, it is an overrated dump overall, with a bunch of delusional locals that hate most any kind of change no matter what it is.
2
Kansas is a horrible state to live in, I lived there.
2
No, Missouri is more like the South than the Midwest. Missouri= low wage, poverty, drugs, low educational attainment.
2
@Travis12861 It is the truth as the only higher wage area of Kansas is Johnson County in the Kansas City metro area. Johnson County is extremely expensive with very high taxes for its region.
