Are you going to... -Drop your internet plan? -Stop buying laptops and smart phones? -Only buy new clothes when the old clothes are worn out? -Refrain from going out to restaurants and bars, and only eat at home? -Occupy a home of no more than 40 square meters? -Get rid of A/C? -Turn down heating and wear more layers in winter? -Only buy locally produced foods and goods? -Only travel by foot, bicycle and public transport? -Never travel outside your local area unless it's absolutely necessary? -Only drink tap water? -Stop eating snacks, but only eat at meal times? -Stop drinking coffee, tea, or other imported foods and drinks? I'm sure you can think of other ways to 'shrink your lifestyle'.

@HealingLifeKwikly Well, that is wonderful! Hats off to you for actually doing something. Considering you have already come so far, it might be interesting for you try to calculate your personal carbon footprint, compared to where you were before. It's probably a complicated calculation, but I think there are websites that can help.

Or how we invest other people's money. As we get more of the world to develop economically, that means a new and bigger market for our products and services. So it's not just spending, but investing for future benefit. If you have any kind of pension plan, you're letting other people spend/invest your money.
