  1. 1) Not every year will have such a scorching heatwave. 2) As the average temperature rises decade by decade, breeders will have to find/develop more heat resistant durian varieties. This may be difficult and take time, but probably not impossible. 3) Thailand needs to develop and improve its water retention capabilities. One rainy season should be plenty for the whole year, as long as they don't let all the water run straight into the sea. This all costs money, but every country needs to invest in the future.
