  1. An effective way to help reduce government corruption is to have transparent accounts. Put all income and expenses online, and let the public see where every Yuan comes from and where it went. Government employee income and finances should be transparent, too.

  2. Actually, China is not that corrupt. According to 'Transparency International', the organization that tracks these things, 115 countries are more corrupt than China, while only 64 countries are less corrupt. There are even 10 European countries more corrupt than China (11 if you count Russia as a European country). 29 European countries are less corrupt than China. Singapore is Asia's least corrupt country. North Korea and Myanmar are the most corrupt countries in eastern Asia (not sure how they get any information about corruption from North Korea).
