  1. It's possible traffic safety drags down Chinese cities. I think we have to admit the streets here can be pretty crazy, especially with all those 快递 riding on the sidewalk, left-turning cars trying to squeeze in ahead of those coming in the opposite direction, drivers trying to intimidate pedestrians crossing the street, drivers turning right on the red light even when there are pedestrians crossing. Lots of bad, unsafe behavior.
