  1. Officially, 3 children are now allowed, but China's National Health Commission has also said that there will be no fines or punishment for having more than 3, so in reality, Chinese people can have as many as they want.

  2. If you want each child to have their own room, that's a lot of extra money for that extra room. A 10 sqm room in a first tier city may be RMB 1,000,000 extra (using downtown Shanghai as an example). That's a big chunk of money for anyone. You could say that babies don't need their own room, but when they turn 14 or 15, they do.

  3. If only we could re-introduce child labor, we could make some money off our children. More children would equal more money. The problem is that children are pretty useless in the office.
