@anakborneo7993 I do understand Mandarin, yes, and Taiwanese Mandarin is just an accent. Taiwanese Minnan language is different, belonging to a different language family, and I don't understand that, but the speech was held in Mandarin. But that is all irrelevant, because you can find the speech translated into other languages.

@anakborneo7993 "current UN ROC constitution" The UN charter and the ROC constitution are two unrelated documents by two different organisations. The UN recognizes PRC as the sole representative of China, but the UN doesn't say whether Taiwan is a part of the PRC or not.

@anakborneo7993 How does that teach me anything? I already know about the different dialects/languages spoken by people of Chinese descent all over East- and South East Asia. Don't try to impress me me with this primary schoolboy knowledge.
