I thought they had 'undeniable proof of her crimes'. I guess that was just another big, fat lie. But maybe I'm too harsh? Surely, they will tell us what crimes she committed, right?

@刚-o2h That's the allegation. Where's the evidence? Or if they cannot provide evidence, at least be specific about what exactly she did. Otherwise, anybody can be convicted of crimes, even if they did nothing wrong.

@刚-o2h It wasn't a security breach. It was fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud. You can read all about it on Wikipedia, just search 'extradition case of Meng Wanzhou'.

@WingkKong You think that's the best way to deal with it? Maybe we can try it next time.

@johhw_6432 Thousands, yes, but not hundreds of thousands. There are only about half the number of westerners now that there were in 2019. And what is your evidence that she (not he) is a criminal? No evidence has been provided, no supporting documents, or even details of what she is supposed to have done.

@wayned69 All foreigners detained in China MUST sign either a confession or an apology letter before they are released. If they don't, the detention will simply continue until they do. This has been standard, also for Chinese citizens, at least since the Cultural Revolution, and likely long before that.

@kkay2000 Enough for what? A lack of denial is proof of wrongdoing? In what legal system?
