  1. Contrary to what the video says, this satellite will NOT go to the Sun. It is a Sun observation satellite, but it will be positioned at one of Earth's Lagrange points, similar to the James Webb telescope. EDIT: Not the same Lagrange point as James Webb.

China launched its first satellite in 1970, in the middle of the Cultural Revolution when its GDP/capita was only $113.- The USA sent its first satellite into space when its GDP/capita was only $2,700.- Now, India's GDP/capita is $2,400.- so it's basically in the sweet spot for developing its space program.
