That comment is completely inaccurate, though. BEFORE Russia invaded Ukraine, only 6% of Russia's borders, were neighbours to NATO member countries. That is a 100% FACT! Also, BEFORE Russia invaded Ukraine, Sweden & Finland had NO intention of joining NATO. Russia has to take responsibility, for the 'situation' it finds itself in.

Putin, through his ACTIONS, has brought NATO closer to 'his' borders and increased NATO membership! There are NO US missiles in the Bay of St Petersburg. The Soviet Union later admitted, that placing nuclear warheads in Cuba, was foolish, and a mistake. It was the height of the Cold-War, and humanity stood on the precipice of nuclear Armageddon. These were NUCLEAR missiles, we are discussing. Now, I find NO evidence of ANY US missiles in the bay of St Petersburg. Certainly NOT any Nuclear weapons. IF you are referring to missiles on ships, then by their very nature, they move position, frequently. I might add, that Russian ship, ALSO carry missiles whilst 'on patrol'. Clearly, some of these Russian ships, will be near, what Russia considers 'hostile powers'. So, Russia AND the US will, at times, have missiles relatively near their considered 'enemy'.
