He claimed Russia was being 'surrounded' by NATO. He also, as an excuse to invade, made up some total BS about Ukraine being run by, 'Nazi's, drug dealers and Gangsters'. That's actually a great description of his 'inner circle'! Well, here are some FACTS, for those of you, who appear unable to think for yourselves. 1. BEFORE Russia invaded Ukraine, only 6% of Russia's borders were adjacent to NATO countries. YES, that's correct, 6%. 2. BEFORE Russia invaded Ukraine, Sweden and Finland had NO intention of joining NATO. Russia has set preconditions, that Ukraine finds unacceptable. Ukraine's allies SUPPORT Ukraine's right NOT to be dictated to, by Russia. Moscow requires Ukraine's 'neutrality,' refusal to join NATO and EU as part of its prerequisites to commence talks, says official. Russia said Wednesday that Ukraine must be 'neutral' and refuse to join NATO and the European Union in order to begin peace talks on the war. Ukraine does NOT want to give up it's right to self-determination and deciding the direction of it's own future, why should it? After being invaded by Russia, why would it EVER give up it's right to apply for NATO membership?!!!

However, they changed their minds, AFTER Putin's invaded Ukraine. Since Finland joined NATO, NATO borders with Russia have doubled, yet are still only 11% of Russia's borders! Before Russia invaded Ukraine, more that 93% of Russia's borders were NOT alongside NATO member countries.
