@vanishedintothinair4017 your loved one is 5 times more likely to die of a drug overdose than being shot. and almost twice as likely to die in a car accident. contrary to what the media portrays, the chance of being shot and killed is rather low unless you live a life of crime.

sep last year 6 were killed in a shooting at a russian school, aug last year 6 dead including a child after a shooting in the UK, jan this year a handful were shot in a german university lecture hall. tell us again how this is only in america?

@imrytebeehyneu of all the guns in this country only .01% are actually used to kill and only .006% are used for murder. there are millions upon millions of legal gun owners who aren't out shooting places up or 'plotting their next moves'

@imrytebeehyneu fbi crime statistics. they aren't too hard to find if you're actually willing to educate yourself on a subject rather than just spew nonsense because that's what your biased media tells you to believe. but i can give you the basic numbers on it because i doubt you'd actually look it up. there are somewhere around 393 million firearms in this country. 43k gun deaths and of those only half of them are murders. so if you have even the most basic of math skills you can run the numbers and see that your chance of dying in a shooting are so slim that it's not really something to even be worried about. you are twice as likely to die in a car accident and 5 times more likely to die of a drug overdose. but tell me again they lies that your media tells you.

@jonpetter8921 you are ten times more likely to die of a drug overdose than a gun crime yet we are on the path to legalize all drugs and want to criminalize all guns. how does that make sense to you? it has nothing to do with safety. and like bruce here said, shootings DO happen all over the world but these other countries also deal with a lot more stabbings, and bombings. everyone wants to use canada and eruope as an example for guns but forget to mention the bombs in their subways.
