I find it interesting that the chipman vote was pushed off till next week and not a single word about it in the news.

@Hayle Seyton you don't seem to understand how honest law abiding citizens operate. not everyone with a gun is yosemite sam, just blasting away. seeing your comments on a couple threads here you are so far detached from reality it would be funny if it weren't so sad because I know there are thousands that think just like you.

@Hayle Seyton 1587 people have been shot in chicago this year alone. tell me how gun laws stop shootings.

@Hayle Seyton you realize that gun laws don't stop gun crime? it's already against the law to for someone in illinois or california to buy a gun out of state and not have it transfered to an FFL. your out of state argument is BS and everyone in the 2a community knows it. but i'm going to guess that you think more laws will stop it. criminals will register their guns, they'll go to the gun 'buy back' and surrender their weapons. they obey the no guns signs, they won't do straw purchases. another law, or harsher punishments will not stop a criminal who is already breaking the law.

@jessealvarez7297 the nics should only be for the original purchase, and i don't believe there is any law about taking a gun into the state of texas but i can look into that and get back to you.

@jessealvarez7297 from the quick search i did, there is no reason why you would need to do anything when you move. if you are driving however there may be states in between that have different laws. otherwise you can actually ship them to yourself. if you ship them i would field strip them and then insure the package just in case something were to happen to it.

@jessealvarez7297 you shouldn't. the background check is only for the original purchase. the only time you would ever really run into anything like that is if you moved to illinois, california, or newyork. one thing you can do is either call an FFL or even the sheriffs office of where you are moving to and just ask them. if you're not a criminal they would most likely be happy to answer any questions you might have. I am not a lawyer and my info should not be taken as legal advice. it is up to you to know the laws of the state you are living in.

the nra is dead and open carry is already legal in texas. this was for concealed carry without a permit.
3
constitutional carry is to carry however you like with no permit.

@Ron White you should try it sometime. then you might have something to back up all the crap you're spewing here today.
