@MrLeadb1 How do you know that? The Iraq war was just as pointless as the 1.6 trillion that was put into 20 years of the Afghanistan operation. But at least the USA doesn't make any referendums on conquered territory where it turns out that they absolutely want to become part of the USA.

@MrLeadb1 As for the poverty in Ukraine, I wonder if it has something to do with an "unfriendly" neighborhood. Overall, the poverty, corruption and suicide rates in the former Eastern Block countries that suffered under Soviet rule are higher than in the rest of Europe. But Moscow's former victims are slowly recovering.

@Obi-iv4vx Turkey has been supplying Bayraktar TB2 combat drones to Ukraine for over 2 years. Russia also wanted these drones but the CEO of Baykar Technologies, Haluk Bayraktar, has publicly stated that Russia will never get Bayraktar and announced concrete plans to build a drone factory in Ukraine in August 2022. Construction of the factory began in July 2023. According to the CEO, production of the drones may begin in 2025.

@Obi-iv4vx Being in NATO means, by definition, being an ally of all NATO members and nothing else. Turkey signed this defense treaty in 1952. And definitely not with Russia.
