Die UN hat den Beschuss von Getreidesilos in Odessa scharf verurteilt. Human Rights Watch hat umfassende Berichte veröffentlicht nach denen 84 prozent der Zivilisten im Donbass seit 2014 durch russische und seperstistische Artillerie getötet wurden und nicht durch ukrainische. Allerdings hat der Bericht mehr Seiten als ein Mickey Mouse Heft und dürfte dich damit intellektuell überfordern...

@idarpolden5913 You want me to explain Brexit? Around 75 percent of 18-24 year olds voted against Brexit, a whopping majority. Things are different for Brits over 65. Of them, only around 39 percent voted to remain in the EU. In an aging society, an old conservative majority has overruled a young, cosmopolitan and liberal minority. That simple. 70 percent of people with a university degree voted against Brexit. Statistically, the lower the education, the higher the proportion of those who voted for Brexit. So here too, the uneducated majority outvoted the educated minority. The Brexit campaign has successfully managed to lie to the uneducated majority with populist propaganda. And as a result, the old, uneducated people have outvoted the young, educated ones. A democracy has to endure that. At the next vote in a few years on whether to re-join the EU, the British will likely have a higher educational average and prefer unity rather than division.

In contrast, only 656 Ukrainian tanks destroyed: 429, damaged: 53, abandoned: 32, captured: 142) The Russians have already lost three times more tanks than the Ukrainians but the best thing is that so far 429 Ukrainian tanks have been destroyed, but the Ukrainians have captured 550 tanks... It's hilarious. Russia is brutally losing this war. Putin is just trying to delay the inevitable with more cannon fodder.

It is a publicly available fact that emerges from the meta-analyses of the election surveys that around 75 percent of 18-24 year olds voted against Brexit but only 39 percent of those over 65 did. If you don't trust the numbers, you shouldn't believe any election analyses. You can claim that the age difference means wisdom. I maintain that people, except the most intelligent, become more conservative as they get older. My uncle is 87 and as excited as a child about the latest breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, astronomy, and biogerontology. My retired neighbor complains about everything foreign and all foreigners. (Anecdotal evidence again) It is not new that education in urban societies is inversely proportional to xenophobia. (of course this doesn't work for traditional societies) Election polls often ask questions on a voluntary basis. This is the case wherever election analyzes are carried out. Of course, Putin doesn't need anything like that.

@idarpolden5913 I am not neutral. Our schools are full of Ukrainian children and a refugee has been living in our guest room for months. So I'm massively pro-Ukrainian. (Emotionally) But as far as the hard facts go. Don't be fooled by a possible recession in Germany or stable oil prices in Russia. Prosperity in Germany was built up over decades and there were always bear markets and crises in growth. The doomsayers about impending deindustrialization are absolutely exaggerated. In the long term, things look absolutely black for Russia economically, demographically and geopolitically. I don't know if you realize how catastrophic the brain drain in Russia has been since Putin's invasion of Ukraine. Nearly a million engineers, academics, computer scientists and other experts who can afford it have fled Putin's increasing repression. This is the nail in the coffin for any long-term technological competitiveness of Russia. The standard of living in Russia is not increasing either; Putin is already pumping almost 40 percent of his budget into the Ukraine war. Healthcare, the education system and infrastructure no longer play a role in Russia. And last but not least, Russia has completely destroyed its reputation as a superpower in the last 19 months. Chinese media are increasingly talking about Russia as the "weak goose" (no joke). The Respect has evaporated into thin air - this will have serious consequences for Russian interests in the long term.

Russia hates it when its neighbors become wealthier than itself and get better health systems, infrastructure and quality of life because then Russians emigrate there. Therefore, Putin must prevent Ukraine from getting a chance to become peacefully prosperous in the EU.
