Just remember you didn't even have a government or a nation as such before 1948 I hope he does well for you and the Sri lankan people though.

@majorskies7091 India out of all the nations in the India subcontinent they will live in a past never hear anyone else complain . The way sir Lankans talked to me yesterday when I said I might consider moving out there now was nothing more then gracious and made me realise even as a Brit I'm not the only one that's want to move out of the UK now.

@nikakiskainourgios2227 it's a constitutional monarchy has been for a while democracy is a quite new concept even for us as it is today. There more there now to represent the commonwealth really you don't want rid of them the world under queen Elizabeth changed for the better Really before ww1 we was all absolute monarchy here if you got good kings and queens or a democracy that isn't afraid to do things right or scared of the past it would be better here we have become our own problems in the modern world and how things where dealt with after ww2 really and migration was never done right people from commonwealth nations after ww2 should have been introduced as British they where British subjects.

@nikakiskainourgios2227 difference between our monarchy and Putin was king Charles coronation he fills a football stadium with people telling him he's great we have people from all over the world lining the streets and the richest powerful people in the world sat in Westminster watching the coronation and taking part in it. It's the smallest city in the world London but Westminster and the boroughs where added to it.

@nikakiskainourgios2227 I think it was probably around this time things started to change but Westminster itself and how the UK is today and only started to become what it is today around the early 18th century after the plague and the great fire of London in 1664 then 1666 that was the end of the original settlement of London London today is nothing like it was before ww2 either where the original city of London was and settlement of London my family was brought up there the walled city of the settlement of London still remains.

@majorskies7091 tell you a bit about our history in London Great Fire of London edit During the Great Fire of London in September 1666, almost all of the medieval City of London inside the wall was destroyed, but the wall and gates survived. Demolition edit The seven gates to the City of London, with many repairs and rebuilding over the years, stood until they were all demolished between 1760 and 1767.[34] Work to demolish the walls continued into the 19th century; however, large sections of the wall were incorporated into other structures.
