If Putin is dying of old age or cancer or something, he would totally launch a nuke. He doesn't care about people, once his time is up he'd be happy to get one final hoorah even if it is suicidal. Nothing we can do about that though. Assassination would set a precedent history won't be kind of reminding us, capitulation would prompt aggressors worldwide to follow the same tactic too. There are no winners in Russian roulette. Our best hope is Putin gives the order to launch but his people abandon his final orders. We are therefore best advised to stop with the constant cold war propaganda and treat the people of Russia with the dignity they deserve. Just a thought.
