Here's a Q: if machine learning is acceptable in cars, fraud detection, and marketing then why can't we use it against the banks who launder money through shell companies too? Why are we targeting the poorest people with the most expensive tech to extract more money from them when we're not willing to prosecute white collar crime or drug cartels, oligarchies, political corruption, or high level corporate crime with the same tech? Machine learning is just statistics, it could be used as a flag with no human invasion of privacy unless a flag is raised (just like it's justified to be used against the public already). Why do companies get more privacy and protection from crime which leaves a trail of damage orders of magnitudes greater than individuals who are being monitored, and which ultimate sponsor lower level criminal activity? Where's the logic in the implementation of logic?
