If Putin says he's not a war criminal because he's fighting Nazis, then howcome as head of UN security council and long-time member we weren't able to coordinate globally to not have a food crisis? This may not be Hitler, but invading causing massive destruction and death while lying about it and after killing / jailing political opposition, this is the same and worse than Hitler. Hitler at least had the public support, Putin is doing this as a dictator. If you don't produce a global retaliation for this, and if we don't blame lutin for the food shortage then we shouldn't ever blame anyone for anything every again. I can't think of a more clear reason to not extend benefit of the doubt here. It's impossible he's not a war criminal by logical deduction, no video or testimony required. It's very very clear, why are we pretending there's a misunderstanding here?
