Maybe the media's constant mediocritizing of the public is what's keeping them so dumb. Instead of explaining how dumb people will be duped by this pony show we can articulate the inefficacy of saying nothing for the sake of optics, reminding the viewership that politics shouldn't be grudge match but rather a selection of ideology. Stupid people like trump shouldn't even qualify to contend in the process.
