  3. Well if you think about it, some people being watched may not know they're on the list so trying to buy a gun would kind of let the cat out of the bag. There is an argument you didn't present. Canada system works great though, why reinvent the wheel? Technically people should have to be part of a militia to have the right to bear arms, so they're lucky they're not forced to register and administer organizations per the 2nd amendment. Oh, and personal checks make you have to defend yourself with your gun less often. Sooo... Wtf lol
