  1. How can they act like oil trapped in ice would be acceptable in the event of a spill?! That oil-ice will not be as sturdy as solid glacial ice, it will break part and eventually drift to somewhere it melts and releases the oil. Cold water is higher density, it flows to displace the warmer water.
