I think the minsky model of agi would work well combining other independently trained models if each communication between models also linked their responses with custom weights and biases to apply towards their responses by the main controller. Just like in a society I can ask my neighbour how to fix my car if I don't quite know for sure, but knowing a mechanic supercedes us both by reason of expertise without excluding either of us from offering uninformed insight just in case the controller wants more opinions would be a social minsky model of agi. The main controller wouldn't be a dictator, it would symbolically link concept tasks to combinations of brain-region-like specialist models kind of like how we use visual metaphors in speech to convey concepts like this comment does to leverage several trained models to help communicate a complex idea succinctly by abstract patterns of historical references. Networks of networks is for sure the future of ml, my research aims to prove its efficacy after all so full disclosure on my bias lol
