  1. Trade agreements historically have never benefited the middle class and lower class. This one specifically also forfeits the country's right to govern, and it nullifies environmental protection, privacy, health standards in food, supply of generic pharmaceuticals and creates a breed of corporations more powerful than governments by definition of their extended international rights. The few details available to any informed person are more than enough reason not to support TPP, no pandering or subjectivisme necessary.

Any economist will tell you that local economies provide a greater net benefit to the population than global ones. Historically and theoretically the deal does not benefit the majority of Canadians, and the ones who do benefit are in the least need and lowest tax brackets. It's a net loss deal in every single way

The cost is middle income jobs for higher returns and dividends to people who earn a living on capital gains which produce half the tax revenue of regular income. It's a net loss in every way. Canada can be sued for being environmentally conscious under the agreement if a company decides that our wanting clean rivers infringes on their ability to profit. Tax payers on the hook for millions to pay millionaires for keeping water clean in addition to less tax revenue and fewer middle class jobs.
