A long, long time ago, a guy wants to run for office, to serve his community. He finds he needs money to advertise his campaign, else no one will even know he's running. People offer him money, maybe for "preferential treatment", but our guy doesn't want such shady connections to compromise his public service purpose. The guy needs a money-raising organization to help him, so, the "party" is born. Unfortunately, the people heading the party are the same ones that earlier wanted to give him money for favor...hehehe...there's no way to win a well-rigged game...Our guy's success in serving his community will be limited--the system skims its take right off the top!
