  1. I've made it habit to avoid "believing" anything, preferring to beat around the bush until the relative proportion of known to unknown becomes apparent. This process develops an "understanding". Why do I need to believe routinely when I know what I know and I know what I don't know? The actual truth is usually irrelevant.
