  1. Govt guaranteed personal medical fund: 10000 bucks/year/person, on govt guaranteed deposit. 330 million people x 10000 dollars = 3.3 trillion/year. Ok...let's make it a more reasonable subsidy, say, 1000/year. Then the total fund cost per year would be 330 billion. A family of five would have $400/month, expendible on private insurance, to supplement their own contribution, if necessary. Or use that $5000/year as needed. The fund would accumulate from year to year at modest interest to provide a potentially significant sum for "old age" eventualities. Is 330 billion a lot compared to the cost of Obamacare, for instance? I've seen $700 billion for Obamacare...
