  1. Communication is inherently political! All communication has political value. Consider financial communication: knowing/controlling with precision the movement of money yields huge political advantage. But in the case of digital transactions, nobody's gonna say, "I was censored!", or spied on, or stalked...well, maybe not nobody, but the values in play aren't human so we don't take notice. The problem looming is one of "trust". Network topologies are used to negotiating "trust", but people aren't. And digital fakery is poised to pollute the trust universe that people play in to the point of unusability. The psychological effects of chronic uncertainty...discountable?
